Couch To 5K
Ran for 5 minutes today and walked for 5. I didn’t feel like I had had much of a work out but my lungs felt like they were going to explode. Is this normal? I was following a plan from Serpentine org for beginners and there is lots of helpful info on there. However, I am opting for a plan called Couch to 5K which will get me up to 2 miles 3x a week in only 2 months. I would love to be able to run the 5 k for ‘Race for Life’ next year.
I’ve also signed up for Women's Running an online website to log my activity. It is UK based which means I can use the maps and actually see what distance I have covered on each run. So here’s to 10 lbs lighter, one dress size lower and a whole other host of fitness benefits. More on my progress later.
