Giving Thanks

011015

The Christmas Season begins, for us, with Thanksgiving. Being from the U.S., we are used to having the fourth Thursday of November set aside to celebrate. Thanksgiving Day is a public holiday in the U.S. and it is given almost as much pride of place as Christmas day. In the U.K., obviously, it is just another day. We got a call from family in Virginia describing the days affairs, turkey ready to roast and Pumpkin Pie at the ready. Aahh!, we were home sick.  However,  this year we had two Thanksgiving celebrations to help us celebrate, one with our co-workers and one at Duke Street Church.
