Mixed Media, Flowers For A Friend

I continue to try my hand at this and am finding it very relaxing. You start with an idea and it can take on character as you go. I got my hands very dirty with this one.

I am in the process of using up supplies so I am putting off purchasing lovely mixed-media supplies. However when I get to the USA I might have to expand my supplies a little.

I made this canvas for a friend. The flowers I made from pages of a book and then painted and decoupaged them.

Gorgeous. I keep toying with the idea of mixed media, but never getting to it. I love the flowers, but still not sure if I could tear up a book.
