Where Have I Been?

Hello Friends. Where have I been you ask. That is a good question. Changing life and culture over the last 20 months took its toll on me. Going through change and struggle tends to make me less creative.

I posted this picture in 2010 as part of a project I was doing. It was the cry of my heart and remains so even today. (PGCE  = Post Graduate Certificate in Education). One of our desires in returning to the USA was so that I could pursue  a teaching license. Little did I know that living in Virginia would make it even more problematic.

My BA is from a non-regionally accredited school. Which for Virginia means that it is unacceptable. So, after a lot of research and praying about my options I have begun another BA. I am enrolled at Western Governors Uni’. WGU is an online school and competency based so I am praying that I can reduce the time to licensure from 4 years to 3 years.

One tremendous blessing was being able to transfer from substitute teaching into a temporary contract position for most of last year. Due to budget issues they have not yet renewed my contract but I am praying that they will.

So this is where I have been. I am hoping to get back on the blog bandwagon again. Thank you for your readership and friendship.
